Position Overview
PennTESOL East is seeking a paid Administrative & Communications Fellow to support the association’s ongoing operations and events. This role focuses on administrative, clerical, and communications tasks that help the organization function smoothly throughout the year, including support for meetings, webinars, conferences, and member communications. The fellow will work independently on clearly defined tasks and timelines, coordinating primarily with the Vice President and, as needed, with other board members and committee chairs.
This position is ideal for TESOL graduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience with professional associations, nonprofit operations, and networking in the field.
Details
Compensation: $20-25/hour, commensurate with experience
Status: Independent Contractor (1099), 90% remote (conferences are in-person)
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per month
Duration: About one year with onboarding in May or June
